Step 1: Install the DirectAdmin plugin

• Use the Install Acronis backup for DirectAdmin plugin guide.

Step 2: Configure DirectAdmin service plans and users with individual Acronis access permissions

• You can configure each plan with access to Acronis Backup and the backup days limit.
• You can grant a user individually to have access to Acronis backup and the backup days limit. This allows you to upsell a higher retention in higher plans.

Step 3: Configure the retention for your server

Note about retention
While you can offer a high retention (e.g. 180 days), the retention for the backup plan in Acronis is leading. Furthermore, a limit does not guarantee that you can go 180 days back. E.g. if the account was created five days ago, depending on the account creation time and backup time, the available retention is either 4 or 5 days.
